documenting anatolia
during four summers and autmn. going back to the roots of 1600 meters mountains village life of heritage. an old former armenian village which name has changed during the reconstruction of implementing a new system. documenting village chores and life style which is now extinct as folks moved to cities in order to make a living. the have a water system still in place for families living there, to grow vegtables + specifially mulberries, walnuts, sun dried tomatoes as well as cattles, in order to survive during harsh winter month. water coming from the mountains have specific times where + when to arrive within the village. they redirect with textiles, stones to water their fields and mulberry fields. This video +photo documentation shows life as nostalgic sequences in contrast to modern life machines we find ourselves in.
struggling with time + value within lifestyle changes. how do we define happiness + satisfaction within our society in contrast?
